Ian A McPherson OBE BEM FCIPS, Director
Ian has become an acclaimed practitioner in his field of complete supply chain management. He is particularly adept at analyzing, devising, negotiating and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems and a key skill is his ability to drive change whilst developing and motivating his staff. He teaches smart procurement on the Acquistion Management MSc at Cranfield University and has been a visiting lecturer in both the USA and France. He was elevated to become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply in 2005 and uniquely, he has had his efforts formally recognised on 2 separate occasions by the Sovereign.
Suzanna is a passionate leader with expertise in managing complex organisations and guiding teams through transformation. Be it strategy development, rebranding, implementing innovative organisational models or introducing technology to improve customer experiences, Suzanna works in a collaborative style and is known for engaging staff and stakeholders. She has a wide range of experience in both public and private sectors, recently combining the two to lead a Local Authority towards achieving its commercial ambitions.
Spencer has over thirty years of experience working within or alongside the Public Sector, with creativity and analytical insight to support organisations as they transform. He places great importance on collaboration, and strives to include and develop staff, colleagues and stakeholders in his work. Supply Chain spend analytics and data management are his passion, and he has worked with over one hundred organisations across all sectors to review and improve data as part of or to initiate transformation programmes.
Paul is an experienced leader with expertise in successfully establishing and transforming teams, identifying and delivering innovative procurement solutions, shared services, savings delivery and service delivery improvement. He has over 30 years’ experience in senior procurement and supply chain roles across the public sector and rail industry. His workstyle is one of building trust, with a collaborative approach focused on delivering positive outcomes. He has also recently led the successful creation of a new public sector joint venture company where he was a Non-Executive Director for over two years.
Malcolm brings to the team a wealth of operational and project and programme management experience developed across a diverse mix of areas in both public and private sectors. He uses an effective blend of strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills to get to the heart of matter, to articulate problems and solutions and to deliver process improvement, cost reduction and embed lasting organisational change. Malcolm is a CIPS and CILT Member, a PRINCE2 and CCM and MSP Practitioner and an Agile Scrum Master.
Alan is a proven and highly motivated individual, with over 35 years experience of managing global supply chains and is adept at working both at strategic and operational levels. He is particularly skilled in providing solutions to complex and geographically isolated supply chain challenges, drilling down into the detail if required and identifying and addressing the key issues. More recently, Alan has experience of providing assurance of logistic functions as a Team Leader. As a Process Engineer he has mapped processes and procedures linked to the introduction of a Warehouse Management System, in both a central fulfillment centre and in specialist warehouses. He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and is academically proven to Masters level.
Paul is a dynamic supply chain and procurement professional with over 20 years of experience who is passionate about adding value and making a difference to people and organisations. He is focused on identifying improvements and then delivering with pace to achieve success. He develops effective relationships to secure engagement and commitment at all levels. Paul is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Chris brings a unique combination of public and private sector experience in Procurement, Transformation and ICT/Digital leadership. His roles in Housing have been as varied as being the Chief Operating Officer for a successful Housing Development joint venture to Head of ICT, Head of Transformation and Head of Business Improvement. Chris led two successful beacon awards in procurement and digital inclusion for two award winning Councils. A passion for people and Customer Service, Chris loves working with colleagues to transform their business, using structured but pragmatic project and programme management at the core of the improvement process.
Chris served a 17 year apprenticeship in an extremely competitive blue chip manufacturing environment. In 2018/19 Chris led Guernsey’s whole of Government Digital Transformation programme.
Rona is an experienced programme, project and change manager with a track record of delivering diverse commercial transformation programmes in public and private sector. Rona is a strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem solving. Her strong leadership and managerial skills are reflected in the development and delivery of cross-functional and multi-level organisational models, process improvement, cost reduction and business change projects. She has implemented and embedded new IT systems to support new ways of working with associated business and cultural change. Rona is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and registered Managing Successful Programmes practitioner.
Edward is an experienced senior leader with an excellent blend of operational, strategic and project and programme management experience developed in both public and private sectors. He has a particularly strong track record of driving improvements in performance, value for money and efficiency through customer centered change and transformation based on innovation and collaborative or partnership working.
Chris is national award winning, MCIPS qualified procurement professional with over 15 years public sector experience spanning across several local authorities and higher education. Chris has been responsible for a wide range of procurements including light rail acquisitions, both major and minor works construction packages, IT hardware and software and social care / commissioning provisions. He is an accredited CIPS lecturer delivering the qualification at a regional college for over the last 8 years. Chris has excellent knowledge of both UK and European Procurement Regulations, ERDF funding approaches and NEC / JCT contract application.
Emma is a highly skilled procurement professional with over fifteen years’ experience working within both the Private and Public sector, supporting and delivering positive results through efficient and effective procurement, which includes major high risk infrastructure construction projects and housing development programmes. Emma’s particular expertise lies in maximising best value through the effective development and implementation of long-term strategies, along with strong category and supplier relationship management and delivery of bespoke OJEU compliant frameworks for a wide range of construction categories. A passion for building positive, collaborative and successful relationships, supporting the journey to market whilst also providing strong procurement project delivery leadership.
Emma is a Chartered member of the Institute for Purchasing and Supply, and is also CMI and RICS qualified.
Andrea is skilled procurement professional with over 15 years working at the interface between public and private sector. She is skilled in all facets of OJEU compliant procurement, is an adept Category Manager. She ensures that contract processes are not only carried out in a compliant manner but the outcomes meet customer requirements along the length of the contract. She is also an MCIPS member.
Jo Hanson Young, Operations Manager
Jo is a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Personal Assistant specialising in supporting consulting teams. Her skillsets include project management, account management, finance and procurement. Jo is well versed in working at Director and Board level, previously supporting the Head of Procurement and Corporate Recovery at UK Management Board level at PwC. She is used to working in a demanding environment within project based and customer service focused roles, and has the technical background, tools and insights to apply her skills to any given situation.
